Back in the ER today for a UTI check, our hearts carry both worry and hope. At his age, even what may seem like a routine infection can feel like a heavy storm, testing both his strength and ours. Walking through those hospital doors again, there’s always a mix of emotions—uncertainty about what the doctors will find, fear of setbacks, and yet, an underlying current of faith that he will pull through once more.
UTIs have a way of draining his energy, leaving him weaker and more fragile, and it is never easy to see him uncomfortable. But what shines through is his resilience. He may look tired, but there’s still a spark in his eyes, as if reminding us that he has faced much before and can face this too. We hold onto that spark tightly.
Sitting by his bedside, we find ourselves praying quietly, hoping for strength, healing, and a quick recovery. Hospitals can feel overwhelming—machines beeping, nurses moving swiftly, and the weight of time hanging in the air—but in the middle of it all, love becomes our anchor. Each gentle touch, each whispered word of reassurance, becomes a shield against fear.
Though we cannot control the outcome, we can surround him with comfort, positivity, and unwavering support. Every challenge like this reminds us of the fragility of life but also the depth of human resilience. We know the road ahead may not be easy, but we also know he is not walking it alone.
Today, as we wait for results and treatment, our hearts lean on gratitude—for skilled doctors, for family gathered in support, and most of all, for the gift of his presence. With faith and love, we trust that healing will come, and that tomorrow will be gentler than today. 🙏
